About The Pet Network

The idea for The Pet Network was originally conceived over Easter 2004 when I found myself searching the internet for a kennels to look after my dog. I was surprised when my Google search revealed relatively few results for "kennels in Auckland" and I eventually resorted to the phone book. The lack of information on the internet however got me thinking, I knew there would be plenty of New Zealand kennel businesses with websites, it's just that they weren’t registering with major search engines. Wouldn't it be good if one website could bring all this information together and point users in the right direction, but more than this, why not include all pet services. The solution - The Pet Network!

The idea itself was simple, provide a user friendly web directory where anyone could access information quickly about almost any domestic pet service in New Zealand. Whether it be kennels, catteries, vet clinics, or pet friendly accommodation, you name it - The Pet Network would get you in touch with the right people.
